............. but what about basketball and baseball?????? Hail State!!!!
In all seriousness, idk how I missed this thread. Trying alyce clover and joint vetch for the first time this year. Hoping they'll do good in my sandy soil. After reading yall's posts of joint vetch liking wetter soils, I have my doubts of it thriving through the drought months we have.
Is the deer vetch supposta get this tall? Maybe it needs mowed. I'm not even sure if it's the right stuff but its about 6 foot tall. There are some deer eating it but they're notView attachment 66683 not mowing it down.

That sucks, I've bought it from two different sources online. I'm not possitive but I think I remember Hancock supply or something like that. The deer never seemed too interesed in it. I do appreciate the info. Is there a supplier you can recommend.
Pics from my farm today. My plots had either gotten so tall and thick, or a little weedy so I mowed them to clean them up. The Alyce clover and Aeschynomene is thick underneath so should provide alot of food until first frost in late October.
Talk stuff is either sorghum Sudan (all volunteer) or teosinte.
Alyce Clover has impressed me. It took some time to put on growth, but in the last month or so it has shot up. Deer Vetch has not grown as good and I'm sure it is because of my sandy soil and the deep south heat.
