Really just starting here today. First time I've seen a mature deer dogging a doe.

Here's why I love switch grass. Even big patches. The does hide in it when they need to. Can't see the doe in this video but he kicked her up like a dog would a rabbit.

Hunt 3 another skunk, pulled a camera yesterday in a little draw I don't hunt much and had a single set of pics of this guy on the fifth. Doubt he comes by again but Going to have to waste a few sits just in case.

Hunt 4 my personal property for the first time this year. In a box blind on what's left of a secluded bean plot because I needed a stand I could catch a quick nap in miday. A group of hen turkeys where filing by they left down 1.

First year that I can remember not having a picture of a single shooter by this time of the year. Reports of ehd in the area have me nervous as our herd seems to have just made its way back from 2012. Although i do usually have better chasing activity towards the end of next week.

Second hunt of the fall. First time I ever forgot my safety harness, so I sat next to a big oak with good ground cover and elevation. Had a wide, but thin 8 point at 20 yards. Took a nice video of him. I'll be out in the morn.

Hunt 5 inside corner of a 1 year vacated pasture. 2 dinks and 2 buck fawns before 7 haven't seen a deer since. Going to spend the whole day here 8 hours in 2 to go. Squirrels decided to destroy the seat really wish this was my milleium instead.

Had to come to one of my good spots. Temps are dropping and snow is in the forecast.

25 turkeys working my way. Tag in my pocket and nothing to harm one with :(

Hunted til 11:30 this morn. Saw 2 yearlings and this young 9 came by at 30 yards. Will try again on a forecasted inch of snow tomorrow am. I'm curious where the does are.

I passed up a seemingly identical buck the morning of October 31. My Uncle shot it this morning. I'm happy for him.

I saw a doe this am. Walking back I saw a big buck I wouldve shot if he walked by.
New scrapes showing up daily.

Hunt 7 back by the pollinator mix. 2 little bucks 1 was following a doe pretty close. Needs a year or two.

Crawled in the stand at 0745. Ive seen a doe 80 yds se and had a button buck right below me. Gian scrape due south 30 yards. Packrat chewed up my padded seat so cold and uncomfortable. Wind is building and supposed to gust to 40. Dont know how much longer I will sit.

Stuck to my word and passed up a special young buck with crabs and palmated beam ends. I seriously doubt he makes it through. Lots of hunting pressure and small parcels.
