Had a shooter run a doe by me at 545 pm tonight. He was full tilt chasing. Saw the does between 315 and 345 then nothing till that meeting as I was preparing to climb down

Hunt 10 3 does 1 3yr old 8pt and a dink. Dad saw 17 out of this stand last evening including 1 shooter. Pretty slow morning temp was 26 when I left the truck.

First hunt of the year on my dad's property. Some really nice ones showing up on camera, including this morning while we hunted my place. Rye/clover in front of me. This off my left shoulder.

Storm is coming with 2-4" of snow. Wind has swapped from slight sw to ne. I just dont want north or nw. Same stand as last night. View looking over my left shoulder SE.

Back left is a monster osage orange. 2 in the middle are kentucky coffeetree. Elm in the close up. There is a dead hackberry branch sticking up in the bottom of the pic. Lots of small honey locust in the background.

Passed on a six pointer. He then walked by my buddy who is looking for his first deer ever. Well let's just say he is still looking for that first deer .

Hunt 11 8 does 2 3yr olds and a dink. Downwind side of a bedding with overgrown crp behind. On the ridge where the two meet. Little buck was chasing everything in sight.

My best spot for seeing deer has been in this clearing at the end of this ridge. Bedding is west me off to the right and their water hole is to the left of me down the bottom of this hill to the east. Of course now that the water is froze up I don't know that I'll see anything.

Hunt 12 and 13 were pretty well a bust. Hunted all but an hour and saw 1doe and 1 little buck. 18 here this morning about 20 degree below average and while I asked for some cold weather the deer don't seem to be moving any more than in the warm weather.

Hunt 14 this morning 3 bucks and 7 does. Crp next to a hickory timber. Come on Mr big. 3 hunts left until gun season.
