Hunt 12 and 13 were pretty well a bust. Hunted all but an hour and saw 1doe and 1 little buck. 18 here this morning about 20 degree below average and while I asked for some cold weather the deer don't seem to be moving any more than in the warm weather.

Hunt 14 this morning 3 bucks and 7 does. Crp next to a hickory timber. Come on Mr big. 3 hunts left until gun season.

More like live from the house than the stand... buck I've talked about on another thread I named "Split Ear" and am almost certain is only 2.5 is sure acting 2.5.... WAY too comfortable walking around in daylight. Circled my back and front yard this morning checking out does. Starting to think I'll be lucky for him to live another month, much less another year or two... got the close-up photo of him as I was coming down my driveway this morning after dropping my daughter off at school.

The wind is a bit unstable today. I saw no deer, but i heard one that snuck up behind me and got my wind. Put up 4 woodcock today, so maybe that's what I ought to focus on next time out.

Too cold. But in May or June I will be all over them. These lakes are loaded with native brown trout. My biggest is 3 lbs.

Great day on the stand in MO. All day sit with mild temps and wind ahead of a major change coming tonight. Been steady all day. 9 does 5 little guys and this 3 year old (I believe) 8 pt.

Opening day of rifle season here in WI with about a 1/2" of freshly fallen snow. Ideal conditions.

Have heard at least 50 some shots with 10 before legal shooting hours.

Less than 10 shots here. Couple were pretty close. Saw what I thought was a whitetail but it turned out to be someone on the neighbors wearing a camo jacket carrying a white bucket .

Pound for pound, is there anything more noisy than a little debbie snack cake wrapper?

I usually take them out of the wrapper before walking out the door but forgot to this morning. It all came rushing back to me.
