Put the hiking boots back on an figured I'd try an chase one down since sitting in a tree wasnt getting it done, ha. Not hardley a breath of wind this morning. Currently trying to locate a decent mulie that moved off at first light. Backup plan is I have a decent whitetail bedded about 1/3 of a mile away the opposite direction that I can come back around to.

TBT - How do you put up a tree stand ?? Do you bring the tree along with you ?? !!!

Sitting overlooking a scrape under the osk on the left. Hunted morning and evening all four days this week in two different public land spots. I have yet to see a deer while in stand. But have spotted 36 while driving to and from my spot.

Thanks Bill. It was between your ravin or this, and I pretty much flipped a coin. My dad has an older Tenpoint, so I kept it a family affair. Hope mine gets the job done as well as yours already has. I took my first shots with it yesterday, only out to 40 yards. It got to be where I'd only shoot 1 bolt at a time, otherwise I'd be destroying 2 at a time. It puts them in there.
Tonight I saw no deer on stand. My dad also had his 1st hunt of the fall tonight and had only a lonesome doe come by. I like how the weather forecast looks about a week out.
