New sit this afternoon, rye in front and brassicas on the right, first time hunting with the wife this year

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with this buck. Getting him really put a twist to the day, and I just got the bbq done in time for the troops showing up to sign up for the buck pool. The stakes have never been higher. No one has won our pool in 2 years, and if everyone signs up, the kiddy is gonna be over $3k. Which is some real $ where I am from!!!

We're not gonna invite you, you would win it every year.

Congrats dipper on a great buck... rifle season for us here in Oklahoma tomorrow...

Dipper, you earned that buck. You have hunted hard, and deserved the success. Congrats!

Oklahoma rifle season, 20-30 mph NW wind, 42 degrees and dropping quickly. Will be mid 30's by first light. Rain right now to clear over next hour. Hunting at home on our 80 this morning out of a hang on and wife will be in a ladder...

My 79 yo mom with ms just hit one. 3/9 done.

Does the son or grandson gut mom's deer?

Congrats to your mom. It's pretty cool she still gets out there and gets it done!

Very quiet opener here by me, next to no shooting going on. Except for my shot at 0640 :D. I had a small buck feeding in the food plot before light. Waited until the season opened and for a clean broadside shot and then popped him with the .30-30. Now my place can be a doe safe haven for the next week.

Maybe things will liven up here, just fired up the combine and I have the perfect view. If anything comes out of there, they usually like to run straight north to me

Back in stand more or less for sight seeing unless a monster steps out. Buck was feeding under that big dead oak this morning.
