They do seem to like those mowed fields at times!

Not yet. I bet my wife he would show on October 7th. That is the average date my biggest buck first shows every year.

I’ve been at it hard this season. We’ve had better sits than ever with the habitat work and food plots this year. I talked to my dad and he saw all the tracks from the outfitter dropping folks off next door and got mad. He told me to pull another field out of brome and get more food in there. Red X on the map is the current corn field. Green area is my old food plot. Blue X is the new one. Outfitter is to the right (East) and the deer come from the SW predominately. I asked several times if he was sure and he said, “Fu@$ em…” Gonna try to set up a bomber stand between the two fields at the creek crossing.

When you get permission to do something new, don't waste any time. Haha! We had winterized the 3 point sprayer so I got the backpack sprayer and nuked the new buffer strips before the old man could change his mind. Ordered seed already as well. If you do any amount of backpack spraying I would seriously look into one of these three-nozzle wands. One of the best investments I have made.

I've done some foliar fertilizer applications of brassicas that your 3 nozzle sprayer would be good for. Thanks for the heads up.

Pure switch along the creek edges and a NWSG blend on the non-creek sides. Want to see how each one performs and which I prefer.
