yeah when you shoot them with a 30-06 at 12 yards they tend not to go far

I’ll post more on successful hunts. Interesting story. Kind of un believable

It helped having the box stand so he could rest the gun on the ledge. Even with a youth 870 he had trouble steadying it free hand.

Box blind and a rest is what I have used for my boy. He started right before his 8th birthday. I use a Caldwell sand bag rest on a shelf in the blind, we shoot a lot of 22s off of the same setup in the yard. He is 3 for 3 with a ML so far.
