Yes. And yes on one of the terrains club members can hunt the 12 deer quota from Sept. 1 to Dec. 23 for about $150. Only active participants are entitled to a share of the meat.
That's cool. Do the other members get mad that you shoot a bunch of deer or are they more interested in just getting their share of the meat? Do you get to keep the antlers?

We can always keep antlers where I hunt. Some pay-to-play terrains charge for trophies. That's less common in Norway, but very common in most of Europe. We also get to keep organs, hide, and the tenderloins in two of the terrains.
On the private terrain the landowners have complete control of all the meat, and I don't have a contract with them, so I get more or less depending on how much meat we have. Should be a good portion for me this year, as that big stag was 250 lbs hanging weight. I'm also the only hunter there, so there's no other hunters to answer to.
With regards to other members getting mad, that is up to the individual member. Some are happy to have the meat, and some complain that people hunt on weekdays. Recently there was a member complaining that we were building too many towers and cutting too many shooting lanes. Some are just happy to be a part of the hunt, while others pay the fee and never even show up. I tend to ignore the negative and unreasonable people, because I truly don't care about their opinions. The wilderness terrains the club hunts are amazing, and I just have to deal with the other members if I want to hunt there. The most annoying thing is when some clueless doofus tries to tell me I'm doing it wrong.
Thanks! I think the rut is starting to fire up. Stabbed myself in the arm and hit an artery, so I'm out of commission for a few days. Probably going to get back out there Thursday evening.
Forgot to post the photo from the stand. New raised platform blind overlooking a wallow. Great spot for pre-rut and rut.
