Any body else finding shrooms?

My boys favorite place to find them is along the train tracks. The stone holds the warmth from the sun and warms the soil.....add a little moisture and the shrooms start popping up! I have found 1 in the 20+ years I have lived here in my woods. Sort of like a booner buck.....you have to go where they are!

I found about 50 Wednesday and about 30 Thursday evening in Central Indiana. Headed to NEMO a week from tomorrow, think I'll hit the motherload.

The wife and I found a little over thirty Sunday afternoon, yellows and grays. They were just starting to pop pretty small mostly just the heads biggest maybe 2 1/2" tall...very hard to spot without being bent over standing still.
We went out again Weds day afternoon and picked about twenty, these were twice the size. It all made for a couple nice breakfasts.
The son has been finding a few morels and picking some small pheasant back and those aren't bad eating.

We burned about 2 miles worth of boot leather today. Never found a one. This area we were in was underwater for months last summer

I’ve hunted morels hard for over 25 years and I think this has been the worst year where I normally go. I think the couple of really cold mornings set them back 10-12 days ago.

I've found about 50 in last two days in NE MO. Got good rain last night that was needed, and heat is on the way. Going to be stellar next weekend.

We are finally getting rain today. We have had the heat the past couple of days but today is the first moisture we have seen since snow melt. Im guessing our South facing hillsides will pop by the end of the week if the forecast holds true.

This has been a good year here for mushrooms so far, our family has done pretty good and friends of ours are finding them too.

I went out Monday and ended up finding over a hundred in two hours, a few little yellows&grays but mostly pepper tops.
