My son and I are spending Thanksgiving at the farm hunting this year. I just bought diner.

Free turkey tag with a bow tag why not. Any of you turkey hunters got a recipe? I'm just going to breast it out after I'm done deer hunting today.

I usually take mine and grind it into turkey burger. Granted, I'm sure that's not what you're looking for. My next favorite is fried turkey nuggets, again, not a thanksgiving favorite. I also brine them and smoke in the smoker whole, they can get dry in a hurry.

I hunted Thursday thru Sunday morning. It was one slowest bowhunts I had on my property for this time of year. I never saw any chasing, although I did here one across the road. I passed on a few smaller spikes,forks, and a six.I never saw any bigger than a six. My friend saw a couple shooters but well out of range. Really slow

I made turkey cordon blue out of a recipefrom midwest whitetail on my last gobbler. It was delicious

I cancelled today's vacation day and moved it to Friday. Cooler weather coming in and for three days all I saw were fawns and yearling bucks. I would love to be out there tomorrow when the warm weather patterns breaks.

Any of you turkey hunters got a recipe?

I like to slice the breast halves up long way into one inch strips, dust with bisquick, fry up in a couple inches of peanut oil in a deep skillet as hot as I can get it until they float.
I like to dip my turkey tenders in ranch dressing with parmesan sprinkled over.
