Live from the stand thread

Just had a big one roll by but I couldn’t stop him! 🤣 Gotta say that’s a first.

Fertilizer hurts coming through the window at high speed.

Got it done this morning. Saw/heard two bucks fighting in a valley as I was walking back to the shed. Walked around the doe (10 yards from me)they were fighting over and snuck down our trail towards them. One of them came up the valley and gave me a shot. Went about 100 yards. Right after the other one went up towards the doe. The loser was the winner today.

Not live from the stand.......

Went to the property my brother-in-law owns. Guy is still chopping corn. Entrance is a bit tight and muddy. Thought he would of been done by now. hour and 45 minute drive back. Might be there for opening weekend, might be 2 weeks. Wife still not sure if we're going to north carolina for thanksgiving.........

Spooked 2 deer in my backyard driving in tonight. Might hunt in the yard tomorrow. Got the day off.

Had a EHD outbreak here in NY in 2020. Guessing 80-85% of the deer died. Did not happen at the farmaland about an hour and 45 minutes NW of me, or adirondacks camp about 4 hours mostly north.

Debated going up north this weekend. famland is about halfway between camp and my house. Only had my crossbow and it's gun up there for bout 3 weeks now or so. Took my treestand down in august there.

Watching a 3 YO 8 shadowing a doe. He hasn’t left her for 30 minutes. And there are 6 other does 100 yards from them he’s not checking out. She must the “the one”. For now anyway.

Clouds rolled in overnight. Super dark and calm morning, 28 degrees. Sitting on travel corridor.

28 degrees, cool and crisp. Sadly, cell phone coverage has arrived at our deer camp.

Forker behind some trees. Grunting paused him but didn't bring him in. Maybe he will come back for a pic or a broadhead depending upon how I feel at the moment.

Sitting in the grapevine thicket again this morning and have just seen something that I never seen in my 45 seasons of hunting in NW Pa. While watching some turkeys, I turned my head a there stands a spotted fawn. Looks to be 2-3 months old. It just bedded about 50 yds from me so I'm hoping to get a picture of video of it.
