We had a an awesome hunt tonight. My dad my boy and I shared the blind on Jackson’s 8th birthday. Luck was on our side as this deer stepped out at 175 yards away and made a b line right for us. Jackson made the shot with about 5 minutes of light left after telling me he was too nervous to shoot and we took some time to relax. Didn’t help dads or grandpas nerves at all but must have helped his. Going to be a tall order doing this every year!

Well the full moon is upon us, and I am focusing my efforts on night hunting. Too dark for photos from the stand, but I can post photos of the results. Got another hind about 02:00 Thursday night. Going out again tonight.

Doe only weekend. Kicked up 3 walking into this spot. Couldn't get a shot. Damn crunchy snow!

Hunting the turnip stand. Hasnt been hunted in over a month I believe. NNE wind and temps in the low 30s. Storm coming in the AM so I would think they would be moving. Left the bow at home. Toting the .224 valkyrie shooting 90 gr fusion bullets.

Mr brother-in-law got a doe last night. Sub zero wind chills this morning, so I stayed home. Probably done for the season unless we get a warm spell during the holiday hunt(Dec 24th-Jan 1st).

65 degree with a gusty south wind. I am heading to the turnip plot. There is a scrape there still being tended. Its been 10 days since that stand has been sat in. I royally messed up my back sunday after church so hoping I can make it till dark.

My buddy got a bow buck 3 days ago that was chasing a doe hard.

Ive got a blood trailing dog on the way. Tough to blood trail through mud. Arrow is blood covered and there is a softball sized spot of blood at the impact site.
