I don’t have a ton of patience for loose dogs. With that said I can usually distinguish between trouble and a random runaway

I don't think I've ever seen a wild dog. I've seen a few neighborhood dogs together running deer about 40 years ago. It wasn't uncommon back then. Pack mentality.

Thurman the bulldog has a doggy door and is allowed to roam, which he never does because he knows where the food and fireplace is
