Cuddelink 2020 GEN 2 version

when the external pack is depleted, it will switch form EXT LOW to OK. At that point it is running on your internals
Ok, so at that point it looks exactly like a camera that never had an external pack? Guess I’ll have to make and keep a list of which have external packs and which do not. Wish you guys could sense that an external plug was in, and report that external pack is depleted - for the future if possible.

that is what it does, it senses any voltage higher than 6Volts as external) and shows it as EXT OK, or EXT LOW. When its OK or LOW and you have your battery setting at "4D" its on the internals. The solar panels have a internal battery that is approx 7.4 volts. the ^ d packs are 9 volts. Doing it any other way would require more cost and subsequently a higher retail cost. I recommend external power on everything and 4D internal on every unit, this is the most efficient and trouble free way to run the system.

I just wanted to give an update on the setup on my property. All of deer season I had the home unit on the boundary due to cell reception and had issues reaching the back ridge even with a repeater. I took the advice of the board and move the home camera down the ridge a couple of weeks ago, to a useless location, to test the center of the network theory.

Below is the results so it did make a huge difference on reaching the back side of my property.

Now the question for everyone is how much signal drop would you expect once the leaves come back out in the spring? 10 or 20%?

Now to find a deer trail for the home unit to be placed on for next season.

it will drop in level but its hard ot predict how much, anything currently under 20 will certainly be challenged, you will need to try it when the time comes.

Is there a major difference between the K-5789 and G-5109?

really only difference is the G runs on 4 D which allows better reporting when using the battery accessories and it comes with he power house IR flash module while the K comes with a dual flash module .

yeah i figured it was place dependent but wanted to ask.

This morning I received an email saying "Surveillance Configuration Changed" but I have not made any changes? The one camera that I had set as surveillance is still set to surveillance. But, under the remote pause section of the surveillance tab down where is says Check the box for the cameras you DO NOT want to send images when Remote Pause is active; all cameras are showing as "pending changes". Weird.. What's up with that? I havent gotten any pictures all day which is pretty weird also.

yes and wait until tomorrow to see if you camera comes back online, also check to see when the last time your cell unit checked in. This could related to a connection issue with your cell unit and not something in camp.
CS Phone lines are also open now and you should get thru fairly easily if you called during business hours. Im only on this page every couple days since its my busiest time of year traveling to dealers. As a result this page wont be the fastest way to get questions answered for a few weeks.

I do show a failed cell connection. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed it before so I’m not sure when it was. How long will the home cam show data of a failed connection?

as long as its been active, 1 failed connection isnt typically something to be worried about , multiples or high percentage is .

I'll see what happens over night. I turned off surveillance. I can't say I've ever noticed the "cell response reject" before. Never had a reason to look at it. The last time it updated was 4:34 this morning. We'll see what happens.

How often is the cell cam supposed to connect and update?

And by the way, I did turn off surveillance. Everything updated this morning at 3:51am. But all cameras still say pending update under the Remote Pause location of the surveillance tab.

I updated to the 8.3 firmware and one of my J cameras reads "battery dead" right from the get-go. I did remove batteries, depleted the remaining power and waited 5 minutes to power it back up and am still having the same problem. I've actually tried three different sets of new batteries, all with the same proper process. I'm using Rayovac high energy batteries. Can anyone help?

I am going to guess a 4D battery Type that has an Int Bat setting of 6D or 12AA. . If this is the case the camera is looking for a 9v source and is only seeing 6V. Do you have an external power supply?

I’ll give it a try tonight. Thanks!

So is the batteries133669 seller on EBAY still the best for the Rayovac High Energy Batteries?
