Cuddelink L series Q & A

Panels help ensure you are visiting the cameras less. I think they more than pay for themselves. Your panels would pay for themselves even faster with all of your links.

As far as cell signal is concerned, we have almost zero cell service on two of the farms I run Cuddelink systems. I just placed the cell camera in an area that I periodically get 1 bar of reception through LTE. That is enough for the K-series cell cams I have running as my home units. About twice a year the camera loses connection to the network and it needs to be re-established at the camera. Coincidentally, these seems to happen in the late spring or summer more than any other time of the year, so it hasn't been a big deal.
I dont really care about visiting the camera less - I am in the area of the cameras every other day at least. It is mainly the cost of the batteries. I might take my cell cam down there in the bottoms and just experiment. If I could get the cell cam more centrally located it would probably help

I an not really worried about the time it takes to change batteries or entering the woods - mainly the cost of batteries every 20 days - it adds up fast. I hate it, but maybe should start investing in the solar panels
If you need to change batteries every 20 days - then something is wrong!!! Out of 60 some odd cameras I had a few that started eating batteries. Solar panels did not help those cameras and would drain in 2-3 weeks. Most of my cameras would last months on internals only, and 6-months or more with the battery extenders. If under warranty, I'd send those 20 day cameras in for service.

6D booster packs easily pay for themselves and you will get 120 -150 days on that set up if you put new rayovac in camera and the booster., solar is even better than the 6d booster

John, I have a buddy setting up a new system and his cell test keeps giving him a 060 Error. Home camera is a G series and remotes are L’s. Cell plan is active and service is good. Can you help?
