This is a first - coyote pups

Hoytvectrix

5 year old buck +
A friend was cutting through my place yesterday to turkey hunt the neighbors and came across these three pups that had gotten out of their den which was a few feet away.

We are assuming they are very young as they are barely opening their eyes.

I'm having my brother put a couple of great videos cameras up on the den so we should have some great footage eventually.

Pretty cool pics. Thanks for sharing!

If I was a gambling man, I would bet mom moves them tonight

8 minutes or 8 years old…they are all trouble unfortunately.

I’d have had a hard time wasting TSS shells on them. Would’ve put me in a dilemma.

Cool pictures. Coyotes don't bother me as much as others here. Might just be where I have land, the deer and turkey numbers are high, so having a few predators around isn't the worst thing. Even with high prey, it seems like the yote numbers stay mostly in check.

I think they needed better swimming lessons. They didn’t get their heads wet enough

Wow I have never seen pups that young away from the den. Makes me wonder if the mother didn’t already get killed.
I agree very abnormal to see these pups, I have seen fox pups very young two times and hear about people seeing fox pups and even bobcats babies occasionally but not coyotes. This is not normal, maybe just outlier but more likely something else at play than chance encounter

That's crazy. I don't like coyotes, but I'm not sure I have it in me to take out a pup.
