Here are ones on Polish 18 rootstock: Wolf River, Florina Querina, and Galarina are all taller than the 4.5ft tall PVC stake. They got watered a few times later in the summer.

Some great looking trees you got there.

Looks great. I hope to graft some Norland next spring.

The ones on P-18 put on some big-time growth this summer. I can't tell from the pix - did you use W & T or cleft grafts ??

nice trees guess you found some good hardy scion wood lol your trees are looking so heathy. I got some good growth but a lot of my trees have some distressed leaves and rust

Yes i had good luck with your wood. I think the only failure was a Spartan graft. The Dolgo I got from you leafed out on 2 grafts but never did more than that. I tbudded each to something else.

I am pleased with the progress and happy to have planted them out right away in the final location. I mostly did cleft grafts. I tried a few whip and tongue but the cleft seemed easier. I had some success and failure with each technique.

The Norland scionwood came from Maple Valley. This is one of the 3 successful grafts I got from the 8 sticks I bought from them. Unless I can find another source for Stark's columnar trees, I will buy those from MV again next year.

Sandbur do you have Norland scion wood? I can probably get a stick or two for you. Grafted a couple trees for a local customer this past spring.
