Live from the stand thread

We did get a nice what looks to be a 140+ 8 on camera this morning about 150 yards from where my son is hunting, so of course he is staying in the stand all day. It was nice to be able to roll over in my bed at home this morning and go back to sleep.
Logan got a glimpse of him and said he has a doe locked down roughly 100 yards away. Thinks he may be the 10 we had pics of last year that was 4.5 then and should be a little over 150. Only has 20-25 minutes to find out.

Ended up seeing a nice 125ish buck out of range and a couple minutes before dark he ran 3 or 4 doe past me along with 2 other bucks unfortunately no one would stop long enough for a shot

Didn’t happen tonight. He did get a look at 60 yards and said the buck is an 11 that will go 160 ish. He is staying down there tonight to hunt tomorrow.

I need to make a correction. Logan is not down at our property. He came back Saturday night and is hunting some private property close to the house that he has permission on. I really didn’t ask and just assumed he was still down there.

Can't believe what just happened. Out of nowhere the other 10 point I've had just ran across cousins field and onto my land. Tore a limb completely out of a cedar and threw dirt 15 feet. Exact same scrape I killed the 150 two years ago. Unbelievable.

Closest buck in pic below. Have now passed both of them.

Forgot to mention a pretty 133 eight point that looks like a sleek 3 year old.

PS - just had texted a friend before all this started and told him rut was over. 😊

t’s getting crazy here. Just had a 145 inch 9 point I’ve never seen before come by within 50 yds with his tongue hanging out. Deer moving everywhere.
Was he very mature? Those are the good ones to shoot while letting your deer grow another year! At least that's what I read...it's never actually happened for me. Hoping for a big stranger buck one of these years.

I judged him a 4 year old. I was very tempted but we only have one buck tag and I have several bigger than him already on the wall

Sounds like a tough time you're having, Native! Good luck when you decide on one.
