That is a dang nice deer, with dang good mass. I guess KY like most of the other good midwest deer states where the deer keep adding bone - even at age six or seven? Our bucks commonly loose points after four or five and they dont have mass to begin with. I am already seeing a few broken tines - though not sure if that is possible on this buck!
The old saying dont pass on the first day what you would shoot on the last, but I have only been guilty of that once in my life. Since my state went to APR’s, even though it is a two buck state, I have never killed two bucks in the same year. In fact, I have killed one buck in the last four years. Pre apr’s, I killed my two spikes every year.
With the high likelihood that buck gets shot by a neighbor as you describe, would have been a hard one to pass for me. Good luck!
