That is what competitive means to you. Sorry. To me it means that these teams will be competing for post season play, or for a bowl game...perhaps more. Go Vikes / Gophers / Twins !!

I remember those seasons well. There were years that you had to wonder if the Pack, Badger FB & Badger BB could combine to win 8 games between the 3 of them. We've been extremely spoiled for a while now, with all 3 of them being good to great on any given recent year. It's a shame those 3 and their 3 MN counter parts haven't all been good at the same time. It's no fun beating up on the defenseless or being defenseless yourself. I know the Bears and IL are supposed to be WI's real rival, but I always saw it as the Queens and MN. This year should be better (though don't know about MN BB) and I could really see the Queens and Pack being an even better matchup next year.

Foggy - I feel ya! I don't root for those teams but I know where you are coming from. When your a true fan your a fan thru thick and thin and sometimes it can be thin for a while (I know all too well......I'm a cubs fan). You have to seize every opportunity when things may just go your way because you never know when you may have the chance again. Your Twins are closing in on Texas and NY and I know that is exciting, as my cubbies are trying to hang on to a wildcard spot as well.

Bama has issues at QB. Their DL is prob the best in the country. The Badgers OL is young to start with and they have had nothing but injuries during camp. UW will likely not be able to run the ball at all and won't be able to protet Stave. If this was a normal UW OL I would feel good about this game. As it stands, I just hope Stave makes it out of the game alive.

I can't believe we are sidetracking a mn thread! I'm concerned about the ol. If wi can't control the line, they are done. They have to be able to run the ball. I can't ever remember a game they couldn't, oh wait Ohio state last year:(

You got heart Foggy. I was a MN sports fan for years, and still a deer hunter. You gotta be tough to make them your interests and be positive. I'm still salty about the Anderson shanked kick against the falcons in the NFC championship 17 years ago.
