Todays Projects - what's yours?

He put a note up at the golf course and already got a bunch of phone calls, but thank you for the offer.
Can he use tags left from last year? Year before???

I heard he is hunting by your land. ;)

Regarding your stability of the grinder. - We'll see. I hope your right.....but I gotta be showed. Do you have enough GPM to operate that grinder? You may need power beyond to get enough flow....no? I think your plowing some new ground here with that configuration.....and it might be quite a challenge. I hope you pull it off.....it would be nice to have some of the benefits of the front mounted grinder.

I may need to go the PBY route or integrate a motor spool valve (they recirculate when closed so the flow stopping doesn't blow things up slowing down), but that's a mod I was planning on doing somewhere in the future anyway. The rear SCV should flow close to the pump's output of 11.6 GPM, and that'll run the motor I have at near full rated RPM (pressure determines force, flow determines RPM), and I'll have about the same torque as a 25hp gas engine would even after gearing up 4:1.

I'm not blazing any new trails, I'm just making what other's have been making for SS's for years. But instead of having a valve bank on the grinder, I'm using the functions on my loader and getting flow from somewhere else (bungied SCV).

Wow. I understood about 4 words there. I am coming up to help. Box of beer and some duct tape sound in order. Gonna order from tape from Harbor Freight and be up right about when you finish.

I cleaned 9 catfish and am cleaning my deep fry oil to prep for a family feast tonight. Stumps be damned.

Amazing how some are adept at one thing and others excel somewhere else. Find your niche and enjoy the ride.

I might end up needing a remote camera off the front so I can see what I'm doing too. :D

What kind of beer Brooks?

No amount of beer will have me running a camera in the bucket of your homemade stump shredder. 20 years ago and I am in. I will be the guy behind the hockey glass, or in my Camry cheering you on.

You've got kids right? I was hoping for a spare for when mine gets used up. :D

They sell 7" LCD screens for under $30 and a camera to go with it is under $20. I'll be seeing what I'm chewing up from a safe distance. Amazing how prices have fallen on cool electronics chit the last few years.

Maybe little Jerry will sell you the Back-up camera off his Prius. With that window in the trunk....he don't need a back-up camera. ;) Grin.

Exciting day today. Traded my runabout for a new Tri-Toon. Doing the lift conversion and making the swaps now. Kinda hard to watch that Cobalt leave my dock tho......it was / is one sweet looking boat. Still.....lots of good about the new "toons" they make these days.....and it's a little easier to board for us older "kids". ;)

May need to have a "deer summit" on board that toon on a warm day this summer. :)

Returning a new 2K refrigerator. Picked it up late yesterday, unwrapped it today and found this. Really pi$$ me off as there wasn't a hole, knick or tear in the wrapping. This had to have been there before it was wrapped, how could you not see it.

That aint no good Tool'n.

^ Wow. Are they doing the return work?? I hope so. Disappointing for sure.

Unless that side is exposed I would just put it in. Should not effect performance.

The back side also has a nasty dent right where the water hooks up. The dent will show so I getting a new one with them picking up the old when the new is delivered. I picked up this one cause they have a $75 delivery charge, because of the damage they will deliver the new one for free. I couldn't believe how heavy the darn thing is.

The guy(s) who damaged it probably didn't think it was that heavy either.

Exiting day here too.

Incompetence in logistics must be trending. They were supposed to let me know when it came to the distributor's in Lakeville. The idiots shipped it to my buddy's kids work - in Janesville, MN. They said they'd ship it back, but it wouldn't happen until Friday - I'm in Brainerd tomorrow. So I got to fetch it.

Any wasps in the old boat, or some in the new boat waiting for the summit?

No winged creatures yet. This year I had an epiphany: Why not use some of that "home defense" spray.....on the dock, boat hoist, and UNDER THE CANOPY on the boat?? Works like a charm to keep down the spiders, may flies, and assorted critters that hang-out around the water's edge. Especially spiders. :)

I think an afternoon pondering the state of the deer in MN.....while perched aboard my boat.....and dragging a leech attached to a hook.....while sipping on a cold sudsy beverage.....could be a great way to waste a day. ;) Most Tuesday's remain open for the moment. ;)

overcast, cool, full day ahead of me....... sounds like good weather for plot expansion. I need to widen one up down at an end to get a bit more light in, and beef up the plot so it can better withstand the heavy browse. Need to widen up another at one end to allow for easier turning whbile in the tractor, bit of chainsaw,. bit of 3 point rake should take care of it. Also need to dig out bin with last years seed and give it an inventory. I need to check a label on one bag, thought it was cc, but a white dutch came up surprisingly.

Stand was in a bad access spot right on the field edge so we moved to a tremendous access spot 20 yards off the plot with a blockade of trees from clearing the plot that is appx 150 yards long. Dad can park his car and walk 50 yards into the blind with all the bedding on the other side of the plot.

Was not real fond of the high center of gravity I started out with-
