Regarding your stability of the grinder. - We'll see. I hope your right.....but I gotta be showed. Do you have enough GPM to operate that grinder? You may need power beyond to get enough flow....no? I think your plowing some new ground here with that configuration.....and it might be quite a challenge. I hope you pull it off.....it would be nice to have some of the benefits of the front mounted grinder.
I may need to go the PBY route or integrate a motor spool valve (they recirculate when closed so the flow stopping doesn't blow things up slowing down), but that's a mod I was planning on doing somewhere in the future anyway. The rear SCV should flow close to the pump's output of 11.6 GPM, and that'll run the motor I have at near full rated RPM (pressure determines force, flow determines RPM), and I'll have about the same torque as a 25hp gas engine would even after gearing up 4:1.
I'm not blazing any new trails, I'm just making what other's have been making for SS's for years. But instead of having a valve bank on the grinder, I'm using the functions on my loader and getting flow from somewhere else (bungied SCV).
I might end up needing a remote camera off the front so I can see what I'm doing too. :D
What kind of beer Brooks?
The back side also has a nasty dent right where the water hooks up. The dent will show so I getting a new one with them picking up the old when the new is delivered. I picked up this one cause they have a $75 delivery charge, because of the damage they will deliver the new one for free. I couldn't believe how heavy the darn thing is.Unless that side is exposed I would just put it in. Should not effect performance.

Any wasps in the old boat, or some in the new boat waiting for the summit?Exciting day today. Traded my runabout for a new Tri-Toon. Doing the lift conversion and making the swaps now. Kinda hard to watch that Cobalt leave my dock tho......it was / is one sweet looking boat. Still.....lots of good about the new "toons" they make these days.....and it's a little easier to board for us older "kids". ;)
May need to have a "deer summit" on board that toon on a warm day this summer. :)
