Thinking of a new forum topic for guys that teach through videos and blogs.

Some of our members are producing some great how to videos and blogs. Some for fun and some for profit. If I start a new forum topic for those that produce these would you guys that do that sort of thing post links or use it?

I know we’ve been anti advertising but if it’s a separate spot it not advertising. If someone wants to click a link that’s up to them.

Thoughts from the guys that do these things?

I don't think I fall into that group? I give all of my stuff away for free to keep those other yahoos honest and advance the cause.

I'd prefer to keep anything I'm working on in it's subject thread. If it's got tangible value as an idea and not just a "buy my product" pitch, it should stay with the subject thread. But yeah, that other stuff would be better off quarantined before it infects everything and spreads.

Bill ... sounds like you would almost duplicating the forum directory, for topic categories, to create a video library?

Could give it a trial test run and see if you want to keep it or not.

I'd like a video page. I likely wouldn't contribute but I'd probably watch some videos.

That's usually my thought. If it gets out of hand you can always give it the axe.
