Here the bale is froze and they eat the inside out first. Great spot to knock an antler off.

Great update Swiffy, and I love how you are destroying those coyotes....

Kinda cool… I’d been wanting to trap an otter for a long time but have never seen but one or two around over the past several years. My daughter and I went down and put a camera on a beaver dam the other day and low and behold… it was almost all otters! Too bad trapping season ended 1/23 on them! I know where to find them next year…

Got my girls out in the nice weather for some hiking in the mud! Had a great day and found some little sheds. Perkins had a blast. Lots of ducks and geese moving in the last few days.

I just have to document my youngest daughter, Lyti, shot her first turkey the evening of April 27! It was a precious, proud moment for me!

Congrats to Lyti and you Swiffy. Great pics and a VERY nice gobbler. Now its your turn!

Congrats to Lyti!
That is flat out AWESOME…nice bird, love the call!

Had major flooding for our area last week. My dams and bridges have been washing out. Hoping for some serious drying so I can get a tractor where I need it!

Collards coming up. It’s the only thing I’ve got planted so far…

I got about 25 potted BHS and Norway Pines planted. It was muddy but made it work. Have them all matted and mulched.

Here are some white cedar I planted 5 years ago. I have about 40 on my property, some are 25 year old… they ALL look like this! I should’ve learned by now that, like everything else, these need to be caged! EVERY ONE is rubbed to a mess.

Still have this guy showing up regularly. Hopefully SWIFFY can poke a hole in him so I can show my daughter that dad is still pretty cool too!

I just read your thread from top to bottom, your place is awesome. Perkins looks like a good pal to have around and the eagle pics are sweet.

^. Ditto. Nice thread.

Great property and thread Swiffy! Congrats to Lyti on the Tom, what a great time!!
I wish my daughter embraced the outdoors as much as I do, things are so different today than it was when I was growing up.

Oh I hear you… it’s not easy! I try not to push it on them…. but I do get frustrated when that F-ING IPAD takes priority over everything else in life !

Wild plums are blossoming like crazy today following the rains. Beautiful times!77AE2F6C-8DF9-4E08-949C-AAC725B581E5.jpeg99F17C2B-3CBA-4A84-BD7F-07BFEB78E7A1.jpeg6B24417C-2578-40A0-BD96-C8073CBD6C9D.jpeg8F58888A-90F7-4F10-A237-E28C2D1BECA9.jpeg

“Big Bill” (since Lyti got “Big Ben”) displaying his fan in the cereal rye. Sure is green and saturated.6C99420E-EDF3-49C9-8066-31E406BB594C.jpeg

Time stamp. Things finally dried out enough that I was able to plant most of my plots on Saturday 6/4. Got everything sprayed as well. Good feeling to have that done. The planter worked fabulous… except in pure mud!

What mix did you plant Swiffy?

These are the mixes I planted. I added about 30-40% soybeans to Mix# 1 to dilute it and because I like soybeans. We’ll see how it goes.

I also planted almost an acre of the Green Cover Milpa Garden Mix. It will be really interesting to see how that turns out!

I was puzzled as to what you were planting in those buckets up front. Thought potatoes?..?

Then I realized it was a bucket of rocks for weight

Looks good around there.

Thanks Bill! The rock buckets are pretty heavy and when I leave the field I can dump them on my bridge ramps to loose the weight and build my approach's... win win!
