Should I go head to head fair fight with RCG?

Luckily I don'the have this problem yet... or at least those area are lowest on my priority list. I don't have experience with yhe vs. Rcg, but I would say you can't go wrong with button bush or rod. You can grow the cuttings in your garden over the summer and get some 5 footers. Also those species can handle partial shade. Maybe go onto state land near you and try to find similar soil conditions to what you've got. Depending on how large of an area it is, you might be able to use a Weed whacker around plantings for extra mobility.

Overall I'd say your best bet is to try a few different things (planting treatments )and see which works the best. Then you can do that one in the future.

Double the fabric? On John's site weeping is listed as high anerobic tolerance.

I would quit wasting my time on a trash piece of property that isnt going to make a shitting bit of difference to anything and spend more time up north doing some actual work instead of walking around taking pictures. But that's just me.

U guys figure out who my supportive brother is yet?
