Quick Tree Planting Questions

Brush Creek

5 year old buck +
If I plant my bare root trees about a foot tall, mostly cedars and bushes in NE Kansas and we get a frost are they done for? Long range (most likely inaccurate) forecasts show lows bottoming out around 25 a few times after we would plant. What if it goes down to 10?

I've always planted as soon as I could dig a hole.

I don't think you will have an issue,I was going to plant last weekend but MO forestry decided it wa best not to ship my trees even though I set them to ship because of forcast.I missed two 50 degree days.I am SC Kansas

If your shrubs are breaking bud then you might reconsider planting them until the threat of a hard freeze has past. If they are still dormant then as everyone else has said plant away.
