The last two days I was sitting on THREE hunting cushions. lol
The problem is the design of the seat. Must be made for little skinny people who can sit with their knees together. I'm not little or skinny. I can sit with my legs together for a few seconds. But not at all while wearing heavy winter clothes and a tree harness. In the seat the metal cross bar presses up hard on my lower thighs. In any other position than knees touching each other, the higher metal bars mid seat press up real hard on my hamstrings. After a while that cold metal pressing back there causes my legs to cramp up. Nothing like jumping out of your seat in pain trying to get the cramp to subside... when you only have a couple inches of platform to stand on. Especially when you're trying to me motionless and quiet. lmao (kills me because there's so much about the stand I love, it's 100% rock solid and quite.)
The plan for gun season is to buy some thick foam "kneeling pads." Two on each side to sort of level things out, then one long one across those two. If that doesn't work, I dunno. Maybe get rid of it, screw down some 3/4" marine plywood and stick a regular chair of there.
