One of the pictures that we used in our Hunter Ed classes, is a barrel peeled back like a banana with and bore sighter hanging out! Someone went to the range, bore sighted, and forgot to remove it before taking his first shot! It was the type where a long metal rod went down the barrel supporting some kind of aligner for the scope.
