How to kill Hemp Dogbane

I am trying to eradicate some Hemp Dogbane from my neighbor’s hay field. Well actually it is my field, but he cuts the hay and takes care of the field. The county extension agent says to use Remedy Ultra. Tried that didn’t work. Next, I added some 2-4D to the mix and it did better, but that stuff keeps coming. I have not researched on line yet, but higher concentrations of 2-4D seems to be in the initial searches.

Anyone one know how to best kill it.

You say hay, looking for better description. Is it alfalfa, grass, Timothy? And how many times a year is it cut?

I have killed it with Weedmaster and Grazon Next. The GN has a residual period though so keep that in mind.

It is in Timothy and red clover. It gets cut twice a year if conditions allow. It will only be cut once this year because that field is full of the stuff.

Ok. I am at a loss in keeping the clover portion but about the most useful info I have come across researching is this link. Not sure if it can be spot treated but maybe something in here to discuss with the coop.
