Fixer upper tractor pretty cheap.

^ Could be a good deal for someone needing to put in a road and do lots of loader work. Those Industrial tractors oftentimes lead a hard life....doing extensive loader / aggregate work. The front axels are usually built like a tank.....and they have great HD loaders......but can be a bit "bulky" for us plotters. (Look at that bucket size and how far it extends out from the tractor.)

Could be something stupid like the fuel pump losing it's prime.

Or.....something complicated like blown head gasket, scored cylinder walls, bad valves, a cracked block, bad fuel injectors, bent rods, and bad bearings. Or not. ;)

Actually, after looking over the pics.....it appears that this is in pretty good condition. The fenders and hood are straight, and it does not appear to be abused. Still.....it's about 40 years old. Good value if you are a mechanic with a shop. Hard to buy (or to sell) something that is not running.

They said it had good compression, so with a diesel that means the only thing missing is fuel. ;)

Sure, it might have all those things - injectors are under a hundred for reman's on most mechanical injection engines; which would be $300 for a tractor that size.
