I have never watched too many movies but I am in position to watch movies this winter. I chose one the other night from a list of a million and I thought it was terrible. So I thought you gentleman maybe would be able to guide me into better selection by sharing with me your favorite 2 movies of all time. I will share my two favorites but I am much more interested in your selections. I like all types of movies but My 2 favorites.....
1. Dances with Wolves
2. The Outlaw Josey Wales

Hateful 8
O brother where art thou
Inglorious Bastards
The Big Lebowski

Lonesome Dove is a mini-series (and great novel) but I'll mention it as a movie to watch if anyone hasn't.

Heat is still the best movie experience I had in a theatre. Hit the right theatre chords.

Snatch is still a personal fav.

Last of the Mohicans. Soundtrack is awesome, too.

Great call.
And I feel stupid for not mentioning Snatch. Top 2-3 of all time. Watched it the first several times with subtitles
Layer cake and Rocknrolla are two others like snatch.
Along those lines, if those type movies appeal to anyone, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Gettysburg.

Wow! I'm thinking we could put together a movie watching/drinking/hunting bullpooping night and have a blast! Lots of GREAT movies listed already!

Shawshank Redemption
Platoon
American Sniper
The Professional

Sports - Rudy & All the Right Moves

Comedy — Planes Trains & Automobiles, Dumb & Dumber & Napoleon Dynamite

Last of the Dogmen
Young Guns 2
Boondock Saints 2
Edit: Hidalgo is a good one

Band of Brothers (a mini-series...or a VERY long movie)...a "modern" WWII classic
A Bridge Too Far...a WWII classic
