Favorite Movies

X2 for red dawn, the original not that crap remake
Roadhouse, again the Patrick Swayze one
Porkies was horrible but great
Series
No better than sopranos
I'm watching lost on Netflix now, weird but ok
Walking dead is ok

Newsroom with Jeff Daniels was a good series. Opening scene is where I was hooked!

“It smells like sex in here.”

I prefer a senseless comedy. I don't want to think too much when I watch. A million great one liners in that stupid movie.

No way you could do a movie like Blazing Saddles these days. The one-liners in that movie are great. Been a while.....I may tune that in tonight.

Big Jake

I like every movie that has been posted, I guess it's no surprise that we all have in common the same taste in movies too. It made me laugh as I scrolled through the posts.
It's the same as I see pics of trees planted and orchards, looks like it could be our place.

If anyone has not seen "The King" with Timothee Chalamet yet, it is a GREAT watch. It's a period flick on Henry V. It's one of those you can watch over and over like Braveheart or Gladiator.

The Notebook. Don’t even act like you didn’t cry…

Thats funny, my wifes favorite movie of all time is Pride and Prejudice the 2005 version with Keira Knightly, have watched it with her more times than I can remember. Wife is a huge Jane Austen fan...our dog is even named Darcy. Movie is a great period peice with awesome scenery and camera work.

The Cowboys with John Wayne or Night of the Grizzly {the old one}

I prefer movies that are real or could be real. But a couple fantasy flics that are pretty good are Conan the Barbarian and The Beastmaster.

Did someone say senseless comedy?

Of COURSE Blazing saddles! “I didn’t get a harumpf out of that guy!!”
Caddyshack
Airplane! (How many great lines are in that movie)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High

The one I haven’t seen in awhile that I need to look up is The Blues Brothers

Another non comedy classic I really like is Patton. That one clicked for me.

For you guys that like westerns, if you haven’t seen the series Hell On Wheels, it’s good. I watched it in winter of 2018 and I think it had been around awhile then but I really enjoyed it.

I’ll add a few…
Spaceballs
Almost Heroes (Chris Farley’s last movie where he and Matthew Perry race Lewis and Clark to the Pacific Ocean-real dumb but some really funny parts, Farley basically played himself in that one)
The Rock
McClintock

Star Trek
Star wars

Watching one of my favorite movies. Some of you in great white north areas and a little older may remember this, yes, it's pretty stupid comedy.

Strange Brew

“hoser”. Canadian slang term that refers to someone who is considered unintellligent or uncouth, especially a beer drinking man. LOL

Tommy Boy
Home Alone
Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2
Varsity Blues
Old School
American Pie
Super Troopers
Wedding Crashers
American Sniper
Saving Private Ryan

They sure don’t make them like they used to… Twisters recently was good though.

Escanaba in da Moonlight...
