I am not impressed with it either. I topworked it two years ago and my graft did great the first year and died this year.

Bought 3 on B118. Wanted a decent tryout for b118. Tried grafting (3) b118 onto kerr last year, one failed and the other died, leaving 1 to try on low pH sandy soil.

Would prefer another tree, but was only zone 3 option where I have an existing order of rootstocks.

Franklin Cider still holding a few today. S Michigan. I haven't been terribly fond of this tree, but it's starting to show some merit.View attachment 85852
That's about how our Franklin cider tree looks. Couple more years, it may be a big winner - your and ours.

Christmas type pictures for Thanksgiving!

About 7 inches of wet snow has settled in with wind. Those of you east of me will be getting it next.

I wonder if deer will dig through the snow for drops from before the snowfall. My home orchard is cleaned up. Tracks overnight were focused on the corn plot.

Muzzleloader season opens Saturday and sooner or later I will check the apples and corn outback.

Awesome little building. Great homestead you made over the years.

beautiful pics, Bur! They look like Christmas card covers. If those pics were on Christmas cards - I'd buy them. Much better than some of the screwy designs on so many of them. The one with the stone building is worthy of a magazine cover.
