Acorn boxes

I’ve turned a couple acorn boxes on the lathe in the last couple days my wife now says she wants a bowl of them to display on the table or something so I’ll likely whip out a few more to make her happy. Fun little project takes me an hour or so to whip one out.

I did a pencil holder with colored pencils like this for wife’s desk at work I don’t have a photo of it it’s been several years ago.

I bought a mulberry burl tree a couple weeks ago it’s hollow in the center I’ve already turned a bowl out of it very beautiful wood being hollow it will lend itself well to a wood/epoxy turning when I get around to
it. I bought a pressure pot a while ago and have been itching to do a colored epoxy/wood turning now with this burl log I’ll probably get some epoxy ordered to accomplish that.
