Did you graft them? If so, to what rootstock? They look great from the photo. I'd like to hear more about them.

Graft compatibility is pretty good across the entire white oak group.
I use mainly bur oak as rootstock - 'cause its readily available, grows fast, and is tolerant of a wide range of soil types & pH , but I avoid post oak due to its slow growth rate .

I grafted them to bicolor that I grew from seed.

The MDC had them for sale some years and not others. I’m not sure if they’re going to continue selling those or not. One year I bought them from the City of Concordia at the city pool.
