The guy has been in the public for years, he has been on many of the big media shows for when he lost his legs. Sounds like a legit deal, but the untrusted part is him giving the money to the government after he gets it, who knows what they will do with it!

Love to hear the excuse for not securing the border if the money was actually raised to make it happen. Unfortunately this argument doesn't have anything to do with the money.

Whenever I have a discussion with someone about the wall and they don't support it, I tell them to go home and take the doors off their house. After all, those who come into their home are only looking for a better life and it should be their American duty to help take care of them!

I don't even like paying for roads that aren't on my property, certainly won't catch me funding a wall by choice. I voted for trump as I have good certainty the wall dream would never come together anyways. That and you'd never catch me voting for a lib.
Pretty sure the Mexican immigrants are the least of our problems, over populated with enough of our own leaches. From what I see the illegals actually have to work. (I'm in the roofing and construction trade I see alot).
Fun fact that some people don't realize-Many illegals being paid on the books actually contribute more to our government as they can't get a refund. Many operate by use of a ein number rather than a social which allows to file and be legit tax paying. And to top that, the skilled ones tend to make far more than their native counterparts (I pay mainly by production, hourly rates are to liberal for my beliefs). I realize this is likely different in other areas, I've also heard of cheap labor lined up outside home depots in other parts of the country, not the case here. If anything we could use more Mexicans seeking work rather than southern state natives coming here for handouts.
I hear the stories of how they get here and a fence isn't going to stop them. I hear the stories right from the horses mouth and they are very creative people.

Let me see if I'm getting this right. Your going to send your own hard earned money to some yahoo on Fox News who started a go fund me page to build a wall that will supposedly keep the rapists, drug dealers and evil caravans out. Your nuttier than Trump! Trumps tweets, tariffs and the wall are all kind of whacky and amusing in a reality TV kind of way, but I'm truly getting worried about his lasting effects on this country. Nobody with a right mind or any moral compass can work for him. They can't run away quick enough. The inmates are running the asylum. You realize this guy is a veteran not a yahoo...401k, you don't follow markets do you...the market is down because of the rate hikes (due to the record economy)...how many rate hikes under Obama? Nope, his economic growth was terrible... Buy the dip in stocks now, maybe save up then buy some hunting land!

I understand the 'illegal' aspect. However it's illegal to speed but I'm not willing to invest in speed sensor spike strips on main roads as speeders (myself included) will just take a different route if you catch my drift. A wall will not stop it, trust me. It's just a political feel good move that's way to costly.
Citizenship is extremely difficult, I've sponsored 3 to do so and they know more about this country than I do. Yes I'd encourage it but this is about a pointless overpriced wall, not immigration as it's not a cure.
If people really would feel good about this wall maybe they could sell citizenship for say $10k a person. Take the funds and build the pointless wall. Everybody wins- especially the contractor that builds the walls using brand new citizens lol

Correct. I despise handouts. I'm not saying to open the border and let anyone in and give them stuff. Screw that, if they wanna come here to prosper fine but earn it. The struggle to get here is actually kinda a good thing, I'm not saying make it easier. I'm saying the wall isn't going to fix a thing. We have plenty of citizens milking the system and I certainly don't want any added to that.

#11 YES and the president doesnt run the country the fed does. My retirement isnt as good as it was last year but it is much better than it was the entire time the last yahoo was in office. My gain was only 10% this year but it didnt loose

My wife spent several years working in social services determining eligibility for child care assistance in our state. One issue she ran into was it was extremely difficult to trace the income of illegal immigrants in the household. It would not get calculated into the household income, and the person applying, often the mother, would qualify for benefits. The mother might be receiving assistance with food, medical, housing, and utilities because the father's income wasn't calculated into the household. If her children attended a licensed daycare center on a full-time basis, the state could have been paying upwards of $2000 just in child care benefits. That was because eligibility did not include the father's income. Then via various internet sites, it could reasonably be determined there was a father in the home by matching it to a name on birth certificate records, violating program standards. Rarely would the violation ever be properly dealt with. It happens a lot. She used to be a Democrat, and she changed parties based on her experience. She got tired of having to advocate for income tax increases in our state, which her employer encouraged. This is just one example.
The wall can only help. Obviously a fundraiser won't pay for it. It's the principle of the matter.
