What's the spread on him bueller? Great buck!

Is that the one you missed?
Yep same one. Just measured inside spread at 14", nice thick bases. He isn't going to break any state records but as you know in this particular area he is a very good buck.

Yep 9. Unfortunately one of his brows got busted off in the last couple weeks.

Way to go Bueller!
Bet that feels great after missing him.

Badger, I'm going shoulder mount. This day has been a long time coming.

Yes Bill, it feels great to redeem myself from yesterday.

Congrats!!
Nice one

Nice buck Bueller! Congrats

I did my first mount last year. I stare at it every night. Hard to explain but it took me 25 years of hunting to get and I enjoy it every day. Put it right in front of your favorite seat, you earned it. My buck is staring at me right now!

Wow Juneau County is really redeeming it self this year. I have heard of a few good ones going down over there. We had a 12 pointer go down Sunday by our neighbor who complains there are no deer but shoot a 8 or a 10 just about every other year. All I see are meat heads. Oh well I will try it again Thursday. Congratulations again.

Meet Hollywood. I have lots of trail cam videos and photos of him. Weighed 162 lbs after field dressing. My best buck in 20 years of hunting the area.

Go with a wall pedestal form and a pivoting hanger. My last 2 bucks were mounted that way. Very nice display and you can change the turn anytime you wish.
That wall pedestal really compliments the deer's body size too. They look so much bigger than a regular shoulder mount.

You got any pictures of that set up? sounds like a good idea, I've never seen one that way.

I'll take a few. Give me a few minutes.

The pivot articulates, can extend, or lay flat against the wall. The head can be turned any time you want...always a new way to look at your mount when you get tired of the way it was. It can also hang on any wall regardless of what turn the form has. It'll face any direction you want within seconds.

The body of the buck (regular shoulder form) on the far right was roughly 50 pounds heavier than the one beside it to the left (wall pivot form)but that wall pivot buck looks so much larger. It's a much more flattering form than a standard shoulder form.

Where do you get one of those?

My pedestal needs a separate screw to keep it from spinning to the floor.

And Joe has a wonderful catalog. So many top quality forms to choose from. The pivot is $38ish.
I will say that it is EXTREMELY critical that the part of the bracket that mounts to the form is attached so it is PERFECTLY plumb. If it isn't, then the head will tilt out of level when the hanger is extended.

Oh my goodness that is awesome!!! I've got a buck I'm taking to the taxi (maybe two if I get one with a rifle yet here in Wisconsin) and I am going to get a mount like that! Thanks so much
