What's for dinner?

^^^ Pix have me hungry !!

We did something very similar not long ago, Bill. Shrimp, black beans, rice, garlic, diced tomatoes & onions, roasted red peppers, & shredded purple cabbage. Rolled those up in soft corn tortillas, top with shredded Mexican cheese blend & splash of hot sauce. Delicious !!!

Nothing fancy when I'm alone at the farm.

Had to use up the burger. Only ate one but I do believe after looking at the pics a BLT is in my near future. Like now....

Darn, the Mayo in the fridge expired in May. I used butter as the spread.

^^^ Still a good sammy, mayo or not.

Beef sirloin, grilled shrimp, and honey garlic roasted carrots. Honey is from our hive. Sirloin was a cow we got from a coworker and had it thick cut.

A good roll would have been better but none on hand.

I’ve posted variations of this before. My wife is home recovering from shoulder surgery so I made plans to just 7AC8F091-9247-4A62-AB6D-FB4DAD26D673.jpegtake care of her all weekend. I know guys like to joke and complain about their wives but I guess I got lucky. Mine is the best person I know. She loves shrimp scampi so that’s lunch today. Scampi with a twist. I used butternut squash and zucchini noodles instead of pasta. Good stuff.

Chicken breast smoked with deer sausage (very high in pork fat deer sausage) pined to the top.

Continuing to spoil my wife. This was yesterday’s dinner. Fajitas - oven roasted chicken, pan seared and roast venison venison loin (135 degrees) with all the fixings.

I have been playing around with my new Anova Sous Vide cooker recently. I am starting to get more proficient at it. I saw these gorgeous Lamb Loin Chops at sams yesterday, and I couldn’t help myself.
They turned out absolutely awesome.
I just seasoned them with salt, pepper, and oregano and rosemary from the garden.
