That bottom buck a 158 4/8 and the one straight above up top a 155. That one just right of the bottom one upper 140’s but has 15 1/2” g2’s. The one just to the right of the beam has a double mainbeam and just scratches 150. Several other nice ones at deer camp. All off our 350 acres

I used to hunt for a specific size and above. But the last 5+ years I shoot what makes me happy. If I have hunted hard and haven’t seen much and a 110 walks by, look out! I try and hold out if I can, but I’m not picky and I like the meat. To each their own, if someone wants to shoot a spike, good for them! If someone wants to hold out for a 160+ that’s awesome! What makes me roll my eyes is when people name the deer.

I think it’s awesome how long so many of you have been hunting. I’m a late comer… Bow hunted for the first time in 2017 and was hooked. Biggest so far was in 2021 scored 154.

Was chasing a big one last year, but wasn’t able to close the deal. He went AWOL from our cams on Nov. 28.

I try to focus on age rather than rack size. Last year, I shot a 5.5yo that only scored 122. But he was a bully, and glad to take him. We send teeth off the Matson Labs for aging.

Let this one pass several times last year. I think he was only a 2yo. Just got my cams out, so looking forward to seeing if he made it.

Let me introduce you to Bob. He has double split ears just like my kid's cat at home named Bob. Bob got the pass twice last year, he won't be as fortunate this year.

We do the same. It’s not easy until you get good at aging in your neighborhood.

I’ve never had one scored.

When my big buck was at the taxidermist there were some official scorers coming to his shop to measure a 250 or something stupid big like that. They offered to measure a few of the other big bucks there and he called me to see if I was interested. Was a neat process how meticulous they were.

This will be my 34th year. Hunted in central PA my whole life so I have a pile of 4 pts through basket 8's. The whole pile probably wouldn't score as high as one of Baker's bucks. LOL

Two years ago, killed my biggest by far an 8 pt that scored 119. Passed on one that would've been bigger last year but he had one side broken off just above the ear. I think that I've probably only seen one buck that would go over 140 on the hoof and that was of course on a Sunday (we can't hunt on Sundays) and I was going in to check trail cameras.

Thanks. He was the first buck I ever got to stick around after a year. He was a homebody too. Hunted him hard through archery, never saw him even though he was on camera almost daily and in the daylight often. Then the first day of rifle he walked right up and stopped broadside directly between my dad and I couldn't shoot. I had to let him keep walking and eventually got a clear shot before he got away.

Never had one scored, but have been told what they "probably" score. I voted... but it should be taken it with a grain of salt as it's just a guess.

Since I see this thread got resurrected, here's a pic of Bob after expiration.

I’ve been hunting the upper Midwest for 47 years now. From Central Wisconsin to Southwest Ontario. Bow, Rifle, and Muzzloader…never missed a season yet.

My 2 biggest are a 164” 9 pointer (235#) with a rifle and a 151” 10 pointer (210#) with a bow.

I hope to beat both before I die, but if not so be it. I’ll have a blast trying.

Bonus pic of my first ever bow buck….about 17 or 18”👍

Man, I like this thread. I've been legitimately bowhunting for about 20 years now. I have 3 deer on the wall in the high 130s, nothing touched 140 yet. I've seen em, just haven't run into one correctly yet.

Age is a big thing. Biggest one we've killed off of our property was a 148", but we have 1 or 2 that'll go high 150s to 160" this year, hopefully. I've seen the big one last week, he just didn't want to come closer and the doe wouldn't bring him my way.

I'm not 100% sure. I've only scored one and it was about 102". I might have larger.
