What have I got here?

Two different plant ID apps tell me this is chokecherry. I don't believe them. he seed pods, if you want to call them that, were on top of the plant not hanging under any leaves. The pod had 6-8 seeds in it and the pods were single, not in bunches.

My app said winterberry for both pics so if it’s wrong at least it’s consistent
