What does everyone have for rotary cutter/mowers (Bush Hog)?

County lines do ok, if you're not using them hard or a ton.

Sometimes you can find Kubota brushhogs cheaper than landpride. I believe they're the same.

Got a woods one at home. Hard to give opinion, think a 3pt finish mower would of been better, or no mower at all. I use a swisher two behind most of the time. Or, use a zero turn when the inlaws are at the store. No real workout.

Do not sell that finish mower. I strongly believe they do better at food plot maintenance, mulching than brush hogs. Higher rpms, more cuts per pass. If you have clogging / bogging issues, check if it's shrouded or not. Some decks have a little bit of shroud to catch more grass to cut and push aside / fold over. Like a little 5 degree notch. If it's shrouded like 120 degrees or more and its removable, remove it.

When doing food plots with either touch up the blades. Probably more important for brush hogs. Some brush hogs are knife options that might work better for food plots than brush removal.

I will probably list the finish mower on our local buy sell trade and see if I get out of it what I want. If not I will keep it, but really don't use it now. I can't imagine using it on my food plots. Just does not seem built to take that kind of punishment. I don't need to mow my clover plots the deer do that for me.
