Trump For Prez- Hillary For Prison!

My favorite is, some college kids got an excused absence and didn't have to attend class yesterday if they were butt hurt.

UW Madison offered "Safe Zones" where the snowflakes could receive "Greif Consuling" ...

.

I live in a democratic dominated area with a large hispanic population. The school teachers have been pumping up Clinton and shooting down Trump for months. They especially used Trump's intention to build a wall along the Mexican border as a reason not to vote for Trump. I have a son in 3rd grade. Yesterday morning at the beginning of class his teacher made an announcement that if any of the kids in class are upset with the election results and are having a bad day that they could come to talk to him. NONE of the kids took him up on the offer. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope for this country in generations following the millennials.

I have a daughter in her second year at UW-L. She was a little distraught about the outcome of the election as well. She was a Sanders supporter at the start. I am proud that she has feeling about the election. It shows she has genuine concern for her country and fellow Americans. I can't say that I totally agree with her concerns or opinions but we do live in a country where they can be heard and make a difference. We've had some good conversations since the announcement. I'd like to think I've talked her off the ledge a little.;)
I've texted her this morning to see if she received any announcement about the election from administration. No response as of yet.
My son is a senior in HS. We had a discussion about the election on Tuesday afternoon. He's a 17 year old boy and has many other interests other than who won the election. He has enlisted in the Navy for 6 years reporting to basic in July of next year. So, I asked him who he would like to see as his commander and chief. He didn't answer me, which is fine, but it certainly got the gears turning.

Greif counseling?? I'm at a loss for words....

Surprised that teachers are giving their opinions on individual politicians in the classroom, seems unprofessional to me.
Our elementary had an "election" on Monday. The kids vote was overwhelmingly Trump, but to be honest with you those kids are just parroting what they hear at home.

My son forwarded me this yesterday from the school admin to students via e-mail.

His subject line read "well doesn't this just put a smile on your face"
He felt good an wore his Trump shirt to school.

As we know, Donald Trump won the electoral vote, 279 to Clinton’s 218. Across the country, 120 million American’s voted out of a population of 319 million. Hillary Clinton has a slight lead in the popular vote; that is still being decided. The Republicans have majorities in the House and Senate. In our mock election, Clinton won 74%, Trump won 11% and third party candidates together took 17% of the vote.

There is a wide range of reactions to this morning’s news--everything from satisfaction to relief to extreme disappointment and even fear.

It’s important to note that Donald Trump’s rhetoric around women, Muslims, immigrants, people of color, the disabled, and the LGBTQ community is unacceptable and has been condemned by people of all political beliefs.

Our political institutions have been designed to be bigger than any one person. In a system like ours where there are only two major-party candidates, most voters are forced to make compromises. Not everyone who voted for Donald Trump did so because they believe the bigoted things that he has said this year. Many of them voted for him because they feel frustrated with the economy, they feel socially left behind, and they are exercising the one power they have.

In our democracy, we honor the outcome of our elections. And we continue to stand up for our values and to condemn bigotry. Bigotry is not a democratic value, and it is not tolerated at xxxxx. As a school community, we stand by all of our students and families including those who are Muslim, Jewish, LGBTQ, people of color, and immigrants. We stand united as a school community and we will protect one another.

It is important for us to recognize that many members of the xxxxx community identify with the groups that Trump has marginalized/demonized in this election process. These folks may experience this outcome with particular pain and uncertainty. We need to support them and let them have their personal reactions.

It’s important to remember that today we, as a community, are guided by the same principles that guided us yesterday: that there is Light in each and every one of us and it’s our job/duty to find and support that Light.

As Teacher X said in her email, this is politics, not a statement of how we choose to live our spiritual, emotional, and relational lives.

As xxxxxx students you are uniquely qualified to be leaders for positive change--for tolerance, love and social justice. These skills will be vital in the coming months and years as we continue to build a democracy that protects and honors all people. I for one am comforted to know that people like you will be the leaders of that action in years to come.

Hold each other gently today. Strive for understanding.

My daughter felt the need to lie in person and on social media about her decision to vote for a 3rd party because of all the Hillary backers "vote shaming" her or anyone else that was trying to voice their Constitutional right to vote as they see fit........Total Bull$h!t IMO.

My daughter got back to me. She did not receive any communication from the administration at UW-L. She did tell me however that she thought it was a good idea. I inquired further and she proceeded to tell me that there has been some racial episodes on campus lately in the name of Trump. I'm not going into the detail she did on this forum but I think you all get the idea. They were the sort of thing no one should have to endure. For that I can understand the need for or at least some kind of support. The racial tension was probably already there, the election winner apparently heightened the issue. Anyway, just wanted to follow up on this.

Off to the cabin this afternoon for some therapy. Good luck to those of you getting out.

I woke up Wednesday morning to a better world!

The people have spoken and the far left liberal PC agenda driven folks that can't believe what happened now know how many felt eight years ago.
Big difference is the loosing party voters didn't start protesting and rioting like a bunch of delinquent little children over it.

If President elect Trump does half of what he campaigned he'd do America will be on the right track again, the regressive trend of the last eight years will be over.

Jordan, I agree.
I edited this because sometimes I forget this is the Internet not a personal conversation.
Jordan got my response :)

Not for nothing, but if a sore loser's bad, what's that make a sore winner? I'm reading this thread and thinking: are we looking for more reasons to become a divided nation? Where's the voice of reason cautioning reconciliation? All I see is gloating and kicking of the dog. Nothing gets accomplished in a democracy without consensus. Just saying.

I have about as much desire to reconcile and meet the Libtards in the middle as they did when Obozo got elected twice. Remember the vote on Obamacrap? I hope they get burned to the ground and set back at least 20-30 years in their quest to destroy this country. It was Obozo who said "You lost, get over it.".

Reconcile what? After 8 years of being called racist, bitter clinger, homophobe, Christian zealot, Nazi sympathizer, deplorable, teabagger, bigot, extremist, women hater, sexist, having "white privilege", seeing police executed, our national anthem disrespected, personally attacked because we feel all lives matter, etc ... by the liberals and the press simply for being white with conservative ideals & Christian values. Many of these comments were made by Obama and HRC.

As Obummer said when he was elected ... elections have consequences ... there are no "participation" trophies in politics ... we won they lost ... it has been a blast watching liberals come emotionally unglued because they lost by taking for granted & insulting hard working, average American's of every race & ethnic back ground ... I think many of us have been very reserved in our comments and have earned the right to vent a bit ... :p;)

.

I unplugged my facebook page last week for 2 reasons 1) my leftie friends were insanely pissed 2) i wont support any medium that posts false news article carrying liberal water.
Welcome back to the real world. Move out of Cali and you just may be alright ;).

I can see both sides and neither has a patent on disrespect for the other. I wish it were different.

I like deer hunting too. Tomorrow's the end of bow and Saturday is the start of gun. The rut is just coming off lockdown into round 2. It's a good time to be in the woods.

Disclaimer.......yes I work for the site. But the opinions offered here are not reflective of said site.

I hear you. But everyone around here was quiet through the whole process. Other than some talk during the primary. The way I see it, treespud nailed it. Except he left out Xenophobe "the fear of strangers" which apparently is ok to teach our kids "stranger Danger". But if as an adult if we raise an eyebrow towards someone from a culture that contains a minority that would gladly cut our throat, literally, we're bigoted.

After 8 years of being attacked I think we should get at least a few months to poke the snowflakes who are really just useful idiots. The current pres said elections have consequences, they loved it when it went thier way. Not so much this time around. If HRC won, my kid wouldn't be offered counseling or a puppy to pet. And frankly I don't want to get along with anyone who wants to fundamentally change a country that has been the greatest country in history.

Why is it ok that when the socialist leaning bed wetters win we don't burn stuff down, we suck it up and move on. Yet it's OK when they don't?

They deserve what's getting dished out and I Deserve to enjoy watching it. I doubt seriously anyone loves Trump, I don't. But I love that enough people said that this has to change. And after 8 years of being mocked, Yea I'm a bit giddy.

I understand where your coming from. But I don't think you quite understand their grand plan. Gaurented they buckle down and come at us full force, once the dust settles.

My State PA finally made me proud!!!! They were pivotal!! We all were pivotal who voted Trump no matter were your from! I honestly feel it just may have saved this country from a major downward spiral of which we would never have recovered!! Now lets turn things around Trump!

Don't forget Obahama said Republicans can go along for the ride but they have to sit in the back of the bus. Pardon me if I offer those same seats to the lefties.
