Titan Blinds

Foggy47

5 year old buck +
Anyone have one? I stopped to look at these today at Pleasureland just north of Baxter. Seems this this is the real deal. The windows and rotomolded design and price point is appealing. These could be the best on the market? Have a look. (note this video shown is a few years old....and the blind has some improvements (door) since this video was made. I really like what I see. May buy one in Spring. Got a new site under construction. This one would be for ME! grin.

I went back n forth between that blind and a redneck. Opted for redneck last second.

I own several rednecks, three Titans (not the latest version) and one Banks Stump 4.

I would rank them as follows
1. Redneck
2. Titan
3. Banks

Pros/cons to the Titan are as follows. Window design is nice, love the friction hinges that hold the window in place. The latches on the window aren't my favorite, they are similar to the Banks.
The Titana aren't as insect tight as my Rednecks, one blind we even had bats (plural) get in 😬.
Two of the three Titans are quiet, one has a floor that creeks when you shift weight in the chair, not ideal.
It is surprising given the bats and flies that get in the Titans, but we don't get busted as often as the Rednecks. We never hunt the wrong wind from any blind but when thermals switch or the wind dies inevitably deer will get your scent. Happens less in the Titans, not sure why, could be a location thing.
I do not prefer their tinted windows and would recommend changing them out. Hard to see in low light conditions.

We bought ours for a steal in between model changes and saved about $1,000/blind (if I recall) so it made sense. I don't regret the purchase but I do prefer a redneck all things being equal.

How old is the Titan?

I got three Rednecks and one Banks (this year). I think the Banks is better than the Rednecks….and at this point I see the Titan trumping em all. Having said this….i have not hunted from the Titan. Sure seems to have all the boxes checked for me.

We have 1 Redneck and 2 Banks. When we bought the Banks, it was a decision between Banks and Titan — both rotomolded and friction windows, similar price. Went with Banks 360 primarily because of local dealer, larger size and # of windows for archery. Been very pleased. 3x better than our Redneck (issues with bugs, door sealing, creaky floor, leaky seams)

That said, Rob at Midwest always offers quality, so I’m sure you can’t go wrong with Titan.

Do Titan and Banks offer curtain kits? Redneck has magnetic curtains now that are a nice upgrade. If curtains aren't available I wouldn't buy it.

I think Banks offers Curtains....not sure about Titan. One thing tho.....the tinted plexiglass in the Banks is the real deal. Very hard to see into the blind, but easy to see out. The banks windows do not get stuck shut like the Rednecks....very annoying when the windows are stuck and your in the pre-light mornings....and making noise to get the windows loosened up for the hunt. Reminds me I should try some wax on the gaskets.

I have curtain kits in my Redneck blinds that attach with magnets.....they work....but are somewhat annoying at times....as they detach a bit too easy.

Also in my oldest Redneck.....I used flat black spray paint to paint the lower windows in the crossover blind. You do not look through that glass anyway....and painting is quick and easy on glass. The oldest Redneck I have is perhaps 10 years old now....and the steel is getting a bit rusty and the blind color is fading some. The gaskets on the old one required some TLC recently....and they have an improved gasket system now.

All of these blind brands seem to improve over time. I like the looks of that Titan....and the local dealer has a scad of them on his lot. He usually runs huge spring-time discount.....and I will watch for a deal in spring. These tinted windows in the Titan should work as well as the Banks and they have a neat friction feature that you just leave the window in any position....no cords or hooks or anything. Just silent lift and leave it alone.

What’s the price for a 6x6’ titan with an elevated platform?

I’m very impressed with my 10 year old redneck stand, but I’m always looking for a better deal. I’ve also been impressed with some homemade stands, but redneck quality is higher but so is the price.

Don't quote me but like kind blinds are basically the same price. Maybe a hundred or 2 different depending on deals found.

Banks does. It is a magnet system similar to Rednecks. I like the rednecks better, as a few of the Banks magnets busted on me.

Not sure about Titan—except I know Rob at Midwest Habitat prefers spraypainting the back windows black.

^^. The Titan with a 8 Foot stand and ladder was about 3699 IIRC. $200 less for a 4 foot stand, 200 more for a 12 foot stand. By my frail memory. As said they are priced to compete. I'm developing a new site.....that is on a hill.....and may only need a 4 foot high blind. In spring I'm going to find "last years" closeout deals. I would be happy with any of the three brands said here, but at this point I would like a Titan followed by a Banks.
