Some of these seedlings have had no pruning. Should I top work this one or leave it alone?

I like the clusters on this one and might just leave it alone.

That first pic looks like a cattle feed lot.
Their certainly after something.

Look at all that nice spruce cover for 'em to hide out after eating in the plots. Great layout.

Here is pond we dug over 25 years ago and some of the spruce planting’s beyond it.

Top working of fruit trees is done, most are fertilized except a dozen or so across the ditch. I put some pel lime on top of the fruit tree spikes.

I see the deer tracks going through that corn / clover. Good green eats for coming out of winter.

Chives ?? We love those in many things. Grilled asparagus - delicious !!

Do you get muskrats in your pond ??

There are muskrats above one dyke and the geese often nest on the house. I don’t think there are any muskrats in the pond that is pictured. I need to see if there is any house on it.

I found two places with white spruce regeneration while I was thinning some spruce rows today. Deer beds were in some of the younger spruce stands, so I need to move some of these seedlings to new areas in the spring!

These tag alder clumps in the reed canary are where I want to plant some of the spruce seedlings. The tags will need to be cut back once or twice over the years.

I planted thirteen spruce along the outer(north) edges of these tags today. I might move a few more later on.
