Some habitat work

Here is a video of some of my habitat work this year from my gopro. A little shaky, but fun doing the hinging with my Dad and working the plots with my Grandpa. The big plot is soy beans in the middle with sunflowers and sudan grass on the outside as a screen. The small plot is my 'secret spot' and has oats, cow peas, and brassica. It is my best stand location over the last 5 years.

Good way to document your work, I like the plot in the woods.

It is an awesome plot for a number of reasons. It is about 150 yards NW of the big plot in the video and offers as a secluded stop for deer.

Most of the trees were basswood or maple with a few others mixed in. Any crooked or ugly young oak got hinged too.
