The blade is high carbon 1095, it's been heat treated and tempered. It was then etched if a ferric chloride/vinegar mix to the desired darkness. After that it was vibratory tumbled in a ceramic/stone mix. This give it a super smooth finish and unique look. Handle is black walnut with a thin leather spacer between the walnut and antler piece. The pins are brass with one being for a lanyard. There is no stains or sealers on the handle. Just hand sanded and buffed. The sheath is hand made to fit the blade and hand tooled. Luke has a signature that he uses. He provided a pic of it and I put it into my lasers software and etched it into the blade. This thing is tough and super sharp.
