Man I’ve been wanting too by seeing that as well! I’m just a little confused now. I’d really like the ability to see the seed in the snow and know I’m not leaving gaps. It just seems so simple. The ground is already weed free from last years crops. A little on the thatchy side though. But It sounds like it’s better to wait and do it after green up, so I can get another dose of herbicide on? And then trust a drill that I’ve never seen or used to get that seed buried just right… or spread it and pray for rain before the wind blows it away.
My poor pup had surgery yesterday. 4 major tumors removed. She’s got a T shirt on because of drains. Only one was cancerous. She’s 9 and I’m not going to put her on chemo. We’re going to kill some birds in the switch grass I’m planting this spring guaranteed. I’ll release some pen raised at the end of the summer.
That said, did a little habitat therapy today. Real happy with how my first year Norways are looking. These were bare root trees I got from the county for a dollar each. Planted some early summer and some fall.
Man, I’m tellin ya! And that’s just because I forgot to order before the deadline. I’m tempted to do the same thing this year. It’s gonna be $460 for 250 trees or I just roll the dice until after the sale is over!!
The Good Lord just drops little blessings every now and again. I haven’t seen a deer on the property since November 17th. I was out “strategizing” today and these girls came plowing through.
