I've been called to jury duty before here. They don't use people's names - just numbers assigned to everyone - and the accused isn't there when potential jurors are picked. Just the 2 opposing attorneys, and the pool of potential jurors. No ID possible. Why is this process not used everywhere? Seems like a no-brainer.My wife had jury duty earlier this week. Anybody know if it's standard practice for the people asking potential jurors questions to see if you'll be on the jury and they use your name right there in front of the defendant? I certainly wouldn't think that they would give out the jurors names like that but we are in about the worst county in Minnesota so it wouldn't surprise me that the judge and lawyers don't know what the hell they are doing. I wasn't too happy to hear about it. First they force you to be on the jury and then they potentially put a bullseye on your back. I think it's absolute bull shit. Anyone been on jury duty?
