I think he's 5 years old. Saw him about a week ago but he was on the neighbors corn field. He's been around a few years but usually late season he comes for the food. Been a few years since I've tagged one in MN, pretty happy about this guy. There were two mature deer I would've been happy to shoot that have been around, thought I'd score one before the muzzleloader season closed. That’s a great buck, nice work. Was that in Minnesota or Wisconsin?
What’s the story?
Congrats man! With that kind of mass I’d say no doubt mature without even knowing any other details.Living the dream indeed, what an evening.

Thanks, it has been a great season. Much to be thankful for in regards to whitetails this year. Maybe mom has been giving these deer a gentle nudge in my directionCongrats man! With that kind of mass I’d say no doubt mature without even knowing any other details.
Great season you’ve had!
Update: Unfortunately, the hunt was ruined by the neighbors five dogs that ran the deer off as they came into the plot at sunset.Last day of doe season using the Ruger 243 with 85 gr. copper ammo.
Temperatures are in the teens, after a subzero start to the day.
